Cole Park Allotments Association - June 3rd Update - Minutes
Cole Park Allotments, Twickenham Road, Isleworth

In attendance:
Sandra: Chair
Julia: Vice Chair
Olwen: Treasurer
Apologies: Elli

  1. The Chair, Sandra, expressed her thanks to all especially Jim, Alan and Reg in their efforts, in regards to Rugby Parking.
  2. As a result of this fund raising, the allotments will soon have a secure container for storage of high value equipment. Permission has been sought from CIP to site it roughly on unused area marked NA on Plot plan next to 70 / 71.
There may be some sort of tool borrowing system set up for the use of all.
    No fuel will be stored.
  3. Thanks to Pat, plot 104, for great help in sorting out the manure last time and Reg and Jim who helped.
Volunteers required to help unload the next lot when organised. Can put your name forward here, or in the suggestion box.
  4. A body called the Pit Park Community Project has been set up by Judy, Lawrence, Martyn and Julia to put the area of land behind the Hounslow Furniture Project to good use. (Opposite Northcote Gate)
Isleworth Horticultural Society, Worton Estate Residents Association, North St. Margarets Residents Association and Cole Park Allotments Association could be involved in the benefits.
A grant has been applied for from the Peoples Millions fund
This would involve the area being turned into community allotments / space.
A vote was cast to see if Cole Park Allotments Association would be in favour.
    The majority voted in favour.
  5. Funds raised so far have enabled the purchase of the container in item 2.
  6. Isleworth Horticultural Society, who run the trading hut near Northcote Gate, are possibly having an open day Sunday 1st July. Details to follow when confirmed. Items and information of interest to plotholders will be the theme.
  7. CIP / CPAA communication was discussed and the fact that Reg has ended his term as CIP Representative for Cole Park Allotments was announced.
  8. A general consensus appeared to think it may be a good idea to have some sort of representative in communication with CIP in a role such as Reg held.
Discussion followed to state that was against the constitution. ( copy available )
  9. Everyone shall be informed on the result of the above locally on the notice board, and off site on the web.
  10. The next meeting of the Cole Park Allotments Association may be the Annual General Meeting. It was suggested that CIP should be invited to attend.
